Material and care instructions
Here we have gathered information on how to take care of our garments to keep them in the best shape for years to come. Please feel free to pass these instructions on to your customers.
COTTON
Cotton is a durable and antistatic natural fiber that is easy to care. Cotton absorbs moisture efficiently, it does not sweat, and it feels comfortable on the skin. It complements BYPIAS’s bohemian style perfectly.
BOHEMIANA TRICOTS
Printed tricot is made of 95% combed cotton, 5% elastane. Elastane is used to improve the comfort of the knitwear and to help the garment retain its shape.
- Wash at 30 °C with clothes of the same shade. By turning the garment outside in, you protect the print. Spin at a low speed, 400 rpm at max.
- Use a liquid detergent free of bleaching agents. To remove stains, we recommend using bile soap. Do not use a softener to avoid debilitating elastane.
- Straighten and shape the garment back to the proper dimensions at a moist state and dry it flat or hanging. Do not use a tumbler dryer to avoid damaging the print.
- Printed knitwear is bohemian style, so it doesn't need ironing. However, if you want to iron, carry it out on the inside of the garment to protect the print and use the temperature recommended for cotton.
GARMENTS WITH WOVEN COTTON
A garment that is product-washed can be taken to use immediately. A garment that is not washed as a finished product, must be washed before the use to get rid of excess coloring.
Instead of repeatedly washing, freshen the garment and let it hang in the fresh air after use. Remove stains immediately.
- Turn the garment inside out and attach zippers. Wash at 30 °C with clothes of the same shade. Spin at a low speed, 400 rpm at max.
- Use a liquid detergent. Wash colored items with a detergent free of bleaching agents, pure white items with a detergent recommended for whites. Do not use a softener to avoid debilitating elastane.
- Straighten and shape the garment and dry it hanging. Do not use a tumble dryer.
- BYPIAS cotton clothes are bohemian style, so they don't need ironing. However, if you want to iron, carry it out on the inside of the garment and use the temperature recommended for cotton.

BYPIAS cotton knitwear is 100% cotton and is made in Finland.
By caring, washing and storing your knitwear properly, you can benefit from its good quality and beautiful look for long. The rule of thumb is more freshening with less washing. Let the knit rest between uses to allow the stretched fibers to recover.
BYPIAS cotton knitwear has been washed as a finished product, so you don´t need to wash it before use.

Soft cotton knitwear may pill at the beginning of use. Pilling occurs when the short ends of the fibers protrude from the surface of the knit and form fluffy pills in areas exposed to abrasion, such as a handbag, a safety belt, coat seams, etc. Pilling is a natural effect and can easily be removed, for example, using a pill remover.
BYPIAS BAMBOOS
BYPIAS bamboo fabric is made of 93% bamboo viscose, 7% elastane.
Bamboo has wonderful feel and functionality. It is soft and breathable and it feels comfortable on the skin. The silky bamboo balances heat, so it feels cool in warm and warm in cool conditions. The intricate shine and glowing deep colors of the bamboo fabric are due to the round shape and smooth surface of the bamboo fiber. Thanks to its smoothness, bamboo product is suitable also for the most sensitive skin.
Bamboo is a naturally antibacterial and antistatic fiber, and it efficiently filters the UV radiation of the sun. Bamboo textile efficiently absorbs moisture from the skin without feeling wet. Bamboo clothes do not sweat and they feel fresh for long, so you don't need to wash them too often.

- Straighten and shape the garment to the proper dimensions at a moist state and dry it flat. Light-weight products, such as T-shirts, can be dried hanging. Do not use a tumbler dryer.
- Bamboo products do not need ironing, but if you want to iron, carry it out on the inside of the garment at 150 °C max.
Store bamboo garments folded on a shelf, especially long bamboo clothes, in order for them to not stretch on a hanger.
VISCOSE
Thin, airy and long viscose fiber feels pleasant and gentle on the skin. The viscose garment effectively absorbs moisture from the skin, distributes heat, and is softly drapable along the body. Because of the shiny and smooth surface of the fiber, the colors of the viscose textiles are glowing and delicious.
- Wash at 30 °C using a gentle washing program with clothes of the same shade. Spin at a low speed, 400 rpm at max.
- Use a liquid detergent free of bleaching agents. To remove stains, we recommend using bile soap. Do not use a softener to avoid debilitating elastane.
- Straighten and shape the garment to the proper dimensions at a moist state and dry it flat or hanging. Do not use a tumbler dryer.
- Viscose garments are bohemian style, so they don't need ironing. However, if you want to iron, carry it out on the inside of the garment at 150 °C max.
LINEN
Linen is a strong and durable fiber that absorbs moisture efficiently. Thanks to the high thermal conductivity, linen is a breathable material that feels cool on a warm skin and warm in cool conditions. It is very resistant to UV radiation and does not build up static charge. Flax is shiny and smooth on the surface of the fiber, so while linen is superb in look and comfortable in use, it is also a practical textile material. Linen is antibacterial, so it does not irritate even the most sensitive skin.
Linen dries quickly and effectively repels dirt, so keeping it clean is easy. When you care and wash your linen garment properly, it improves after every use and it lasts from generation to generation.
To keep your linen garment in the best possible condition, store it hanging on a hanger. Do not store your linen items folded over a long period of time to avoid flax fibers breaking along the folding lines.
The unevenness as well as the binding knots of the linen yarn give linen textile a natural and free look, so the binding knots of the yarns are not intended to be cut with scissors.
BYPIAS LINEN
The woven fabric of BYPIAS linen is made of 100% linen. It has been washed as a finished fabric. In order to keep the look of the original flax, the natural-colored linen fabric has not been dyed and it is lightly wash-finished, so be prepared for a longitudinal shrinkage of 5-7 % in the first wash, with the natural-colored linen garments.
- Wash at 40 °C max with clothes of the same shade, with a small load of items to avoid washing wrinkles.
- Use a liquid detergent. Wash colored items with a detergent free of bleaching agents, pure white items with a detergent recommended for whites. To remove stains, we recommend using bile soap. Do not use a softener to avoid weakening the flax fiber.
- It is important to carry out a short spin to avoid washing wrinkles, at the speed of 600 rpm max.
- Straighten and shape the product at a moist state and dry it hanging. Do not use a tumbler dryer.
- The original smooth and shiny surface of the BYPIAS linen product is achieved by ironing on the inside of the damp product with a steam iron.
Store your linen garment hanging on a hanger. Do not store your linen items folded over a long period of time to avoid flax fibers breaking along the folding lines.
When buying a garment made of woven linen, choose a size that is loose enough. Flax has poor resistance for dry rubbing. Your garment will stand it better when you choose a size that has enough space in areas subjected to abrasion, such as the underarms, the inner thighs, and the back seams of the trousers.
BOHEMIANA LINEN
The material of BOHEMIANA linen products is 100% linen. They have been washed as a finished product to fit into the bohemian style.
- Wash at 40 °C max with clothes of the same shade, with a small load of items, to avoid washing wrinkles.
- Use a liquid detergent. Wash colored items with a detergent free of bleaching agents, pure white items with a detergent recommended for whites. To remove stains, we recommend using bile soap. Do not use a softener to avoid weakening the flax fiber.
- It is important to carry out a short spin to avoid washing wrinkles, at the speed of 600 rpm at max.
- Straighten and shape the product at a moist state and dry it hanging. Do not use a tumbler dryer.
- BOHEMIANA linen products do not need ironing. However, if you want to iron, carry it out on the inside of the damp product using a steam iron.
Store your linen garment hanging on a hanger. Do not store your linen items folded over a long period of time to avoid flax fibers breaking along the folding lines.
When buying a garment made of woven linen, choose a size that is loose enough. Flax has poor resistance for dry rubbing. BYPIAS LINEN KNITWEAR
The material of BYPIAS linen knitwear is 100% linen.
- Wash at 30 °C max with a delicate program with clothes of the same shade. Use a washing bag for the loose-stitched knitwear to avoid the creation of yarn loops.
- Use a liquid detergent. Wash colored items with a detergent free of bleaching agents, pure white items with a detergent recommended for whites. To remove stains, we recommend using bile soap. Do not use a softener to avoid weakening the flax fiber.
- It is important to carry out a short spin to avoid washing wrinkles, at a speed of 400 rpm at max.
- Straighten and shape the product at a moist state to the proper dimensions and dry it flat or hanging. Dry the loose-stitched and heavy-weight items flat to avoid stretching, the thin and light-weight items can be dried hanging.
- BYPIAS linen knitwear is bohemian style and doesn´t need ironing. However, if you want to iron, carry it out on the inside through a damp cloth or using a steam iron.
Store your linen garment hanging on a hanger. Do not store your linen items folded over a long period of time to avoid flax fibers breaking along the folding lines.
Use a washing bag for the loose-stitched knitwear to avoid the creation of yarn loops. Also be aware of yarn loops caused while using a knitted garment. Thread loops may be caused by the metal parts of a pant zipper, a wristwatch, a bag, necklace, et cetera. Instead of using scissors to clean the knit, use a knit hook to pull the thread loop to the backside of the knit.
LAMBSWOOL AND MERINOWOOL
The 100% wool knitwear, pullovers, cardigans, scarves, beanies and other accessories are made in Finland.
As a breathable material, wool is warm and absorbs moisture from the skin. The wool fiber is airy, flexible, and shapeable. It is curly and elastic and feels warm even when moist. It effectively repels dirt and cleans itself so you don't need to wash your woolen clothes too often. It is advisable to freshen the wool product in the moist outdoors air, where the fibers swell and get rid of odors and traces of use while the product is being freshened.

BYPIAS woolen knitwear has been washed as a finished product, so you don´t need to wash it before the use.
- Hand wash the knit after turning it inside out or use a delicate wool wash program at 30 °C max.
- Use a gentle neutral detergent recommended for wool washing. Pests are attracted by stains, so remove stains while fresh, using bile or walnut soap.
- In the case of hand wash, do not soak the wool item and handle it carefully. Do not twist, rub or crush wool vigorously. Rinse several times.
- Spin lightly at a low speed, 400 rpm at max, or press excess water by rolling the item with a thick terry towel. Do not use a tumbler dryer.
- Straighten and shape the wool product at a moist state and dry it flat in an airy place, such as on a towel, but not in the sun or on the radiator.
- If necessary, iron using a steam iron with a damp cloth at 150 °C.
Keep the wool product airy and loosely folded on a shelf horizontally. Close the zippers and buttons. Long, thick and heavy knitted items stretch out on a hanger.
Protect your woolen knitwear from pest insects. BYPIAS wool products have not been treated with pesticides or any surface agents, so it is important to store them properly. When not in use for a while, protect your wool product from pests by storing it in a plastic bag or in a covered plastic box.

MOHAIR
Mohair is a soft, furry, long and strong fiber. It can withstand wear and tear, it is free from friction and felting, and it easily straightens. Mohair is smooth and shiny and feels comfortable and soft on the skin. Mohair effectively absorbs moisture from the skin, is breathable and acts as an effective isolator of heat.
BYPIAS mohair products are mixed with polyamide to increase the durability and washability of the product and to improve the functional characteristics of the knitwear.
Mohair knit is airy and shiny. Mohair is flexible and easily shapeable. It effectively repels dirt and cleans itself, so you don't need to wash your mohair product too often. It is advisable to freshen the mohair product in the moist outdoors air, where the fibers swell and get rid of odors and traces of use while the product is being freshened.

- Straighten and shape the wool product at a moist state and dry it flat in an airy place, such as on a towel, but not in the sun or on the radiator.
- After drying, you can brush the knit in order for the long mohair fibers to come out beautifully again.
- There is no need to iron the mohair knit, but if you want to iron it, carry it out on the inside of the knit using a steam iron with a damp cloth at 150 °C.

Because of a furry characteristic of mohair fiber, it may cause itching on sensitive skin. In case of itching, brush the inside of the knitted fabric using a mohair brush. In addition, you can iron on the inside of the knit using a steam iron with a damp cloth at 150 °C.
Because mohair fibers are long and smooth, although furry, lonely mohair fibers may separate from the knit at the beginning of use. The separation of excess fibers is natural and will end after using the knit. You can assist in removing the extra fibers by freshening the knit by airing and by brushing it with a mohair brush.
The mohair fiber used by BYPIAS is received from mohair goats that have been treated with respect for animal rights.
CASHMERE
Cashmere is a fine undercoat fur of the cashmere goat, which is collected once a year by brushing the fur of the animals when they naturally shed their hair winter coat. Cashmere fiber is luxuriously soft, light, warm, and expensive.
Freshen your cashmere product regularly by airing. By caring, washing and storing your knit properly, you can benefit from its superb comfort and luxurious look for long. The rule of thumb is more freshening with less washing. Let the knit rest and breathe properly between uses to allow the knit to keep its original feel and other characteristics for a longer time. When freshening is no longer enough, the knit must be washed.
- Hand wash in cool, lukewarm water, 30 °C max, with gentle pressing.
- Use a gentle neutral detergent recommended for delicate textiles. Do not soak, and treat the knit with gentle care. Do not bend, rub, or crush the product vigorously. Rinse several times and do not use a softener.
- Instead of using a tumble dryer, lay the wet product on an absorbent towel and gently roll the towel to absorb the excess moisture. Press lightly against the towel.
- Straighten and shape the product while moist, and dry it flat in airy conditions, such as on a towel, but not in the sun or on the radiator.
Keep your cashmere product airy and loosely folded horizontally on a shelf.
The cashmere knitwear is characterized by the fact that it may pill at the beginning of use. Pilling occurs, when the short ends of the fibers protrude from the surface of the knit and form furry pills in areas exposed to abrasion, such as a handbag, a safety belt, coat seams, etc. However, pilling is natural and can be removed easily by treating a knit, for example, with a cashmere comb or a pill remover. After a few treating cycles, the pilling effect will be calmed down.
